A weekend break in Mostar (the uncrowded alternative to Dubrovnik)
Hi, we will be arriving in Mostar on a monday in mid September and spending the night just wondering if on a weeknight theres less night life? We aren't looking to go clubbing or anything but would like to have some drinks somewhere outside in the late evening. Great another fellow Canadian visiting here!! Mostar is loaded with small restaurants, cafes, and drink bars.. September is still busy, usually 10 am to 2 pm is the busiest as Dubrovnik and Split cruise line visitors and bus groups walk shoulder to shoulder through the old town.. From that moment on, I knew I just had to go there the next time I was in Europe. The moment when I saw the bridge and the surrounding landscape for the very first time, it brought tears of joy to my eyes. I stopped breathing for a moment as I took it all in, as it was far more beautiful than I ever could have imagined. I admit that Mostar took me by surprise.
